Setup

Follows is a step-by-step guide to add your own audio.

1

Add the Soundify Script to ONE object in your scene

Add the Soundify script to only ONE object in your scene. It is a Singleton which means that you can only have it on one game object at any given time.

2

Add a Track to the Audio Master

Press the Add (+) button to add a new track. A track is a collection of sounds such as Music or SFX and so on.

Give the track a Name.

3

Add a new Sound to the Track

Press the Add (+) button inside the track to add a new sound to that specific track.

You will notice that you select the sound you want to add. For this we first need to create a sound. We will do this in the following steps.

4

Create a Sound object

In the project, right-click and add a new Sound object under Create/Soundify/Audio/Sound.

Rename it.

5

Add an Audio Clip to the Sound

A sound can have multiple Audio Clips and it will select one at random whenever the sound is played.

Add a new Audio Clip to the sound.

6

Change properties of the Sound

Play around with the settings for the sound. Each property has a tooltip to explain what it does if you hover over the property for a second.

7

Add the Sound to the Audio Master

Go back to the Soundify script you added earlier.

Add the newly created Sound to the track we created earlier.

8

Everything is now setup for you to start playing a sound

To actually play the sound, check out the Playing Audio tab here.
