🧱Create an Explosion

Create your first custom explosion

The pack comes with a lot of pre-made explosions, but for you who want to create a custom one, follow this guide.

  1. Create or select a gameobject in your scene.

  2. Add the explosion component by pressing Component/Explosions/Explosion in the toolbar.

  1. Click the Edit Explosion button to refresh the explosion editor.

  1. An error will now pop up saying that "Some materials are missing!".

  1. Click the Add Missing Materials button and select a place to store the materials for the explosion at (somewhere in your project).

  2. Now all the materials that makes up the explosion has been created for you. You can continue editing the explosion by clicking the Edit Explosion button again.

  3. You can navigate the different parts of the explosion with the page buttons (Previous and Next).

  1. Go to the Crown page by pressing Next a couple of times.

  1. A Validation Error will appear saying that "Crown is not assigned.". You will need to add a Crown object to the Object field for the explosion to have a crown. Do this by pressing the select item button on the Object property field and select any of the premade once (you can find all of them under Explosion Pack/Assets/Data/Components/Crown).

  1. If you restart the effect with the regular unity Particle Effect controller, you will see a crown appear.

  2. You can play around with settings and continue to the other pages and adding their objects to make them appear.

  3. Alternatively, you can start by selecting one of the presets included. Do this by pressing the small presets icon on the Explosion component and select any preset. From here, you can play around with the settings to your liking.
